Purposeless Production

About Purposeless Production

Purposeless Production was founded in 2024 by artists Aude Verbrugge and Sébastien Duranté. Their collaborative practice explores the intersection of art, design, and function, creating objects that blend artistic narrative with practicality. Their collections include one-of-a-kind sculptural objects, handcrafted furniture, and art pieces, all infused with a sense of humor, grit, and beauty.

Why Purposeless ?

At Purposeless Production, we don’t take ourselves too seriously—except when it comes to creating things we love. Guided by the belief that “Art has no purpose, only consequences,” we embrace the chaos and unpredictability of the creative process to bring you objects that are stories, provocations, and statements.

For us, art doesn’t need to justify itself—it exists to be experienced, to provoke thought, or to slip a bit of paradox into your life. Whether you find purpose in our work or not, we’ll leave that up to you.

Our Studio

Based between New York and Brussels, Purposeless Production operates as both a creative studio and a platform for collaboration. The studio fosters experimentation with materials and processes, allowing for the development of objects that are as thought-provoking as they are functional. Their practice evolves with each project, to create works that resonate with those who appreciate bold, boundary-pushing design.
